I have never used these footpads and can't comment about their value. (I myself use Korean massage insoles with amazing results, but that's another story.) Rather, I am writing just to express one caveat: after many years residence in Japan, I can say that people here are very enthusiastic -- usually briefly -- about all sorts of consumer fads.

A few years ago the footpads were sold everywhere with great hype, for very high prices. Soon enough the prices were down by half or more, then lower still. These products are now no longer very popular; I can't say how long it has been since I've seen them for sale.

They may be excellent and useful products, but they seem to have lost favor with many consumers here in Japan.

I suspect the Japanese use the foot pads because they work and do not have to prove it by a double blind study costing millions of dollars. I bought 30 patches for a two week treatment. 10 more days I can say what my results are.
