Hi Jill, The accuracy (the closeness of the results to the true value) of the
Bone Density measuring devices and the techinique itself is poor so that MD ask
you not to come back for six months. That is not because they don't want to see
your money more often but rather because of the lack of accuracy of the
measuremnts.
Forgive me for the sarcasm, but I was wondering what sort of instrument your
herbalist has that enables him (her) to tell you that your bone density will
increase in nine days (not eight, not ten, but nine)
Mind you that his(hers) level of accuracy is not measured in plus or minus a
few weeks or months but actually within one day. Just amazing. That is truly an
accurate prediction and I'd certainly would like to know how does he (she)
knows that!
We all know that sesame seeds contain more calcium than milk (w/w) and that
this calcium is highly bioavailable, but nine days?
Best regards
Frank

  Subject: CS>Re: fingernails/bone density

I was looking for a way to increase bone density. My herbalist suggested I
grind two tablespoons black unprocessed sesame seeds and consume them daily.
He said this would increase my bone density in nine days, as opposed to the 30
days to achieve the same effect with the tan sesame seeds. I never did have my
bone density checked--before or after, so I can't say if that worked. I can
say that my fingernails grew so strong in a short period of time that I was
unable to trim them with my fingernail clipper (didn't have the strength). I
gave two friends of mine coffee grinders and a supply of these black sesame
seeds. One of these had fallen off a roof feet first and suffered 13 foot and
ankle fractures. He was not supposed to be able to walk again, but I last saw
him doing just that. The doctor couldn't get over his surprise on viewing the
x-rays. My other friend was an elderly lady with multiple vertebral fractures
(spinal collapse). She had a marked degree of lessening of her pain when
taking the sesame seeds.

If you experiment with black sesame seeds, make sure you get the ones that
are not hulled, as I think that removes the minerals--much like processing
grain. The best source I have found is an Asian grocery store, where the
propietor speaks enough English to figure out what I need. I order the black
sesame seeds by the pound.
