That small amount is about the same as, or more than, the small amount of silver being released. It's amazing how hard it is to not put too much bicarb in the water...the tiniest little fleck on the end of a toothpick in a quart of water raises the conductivity by 5 or 6 uS where current starts flowing stronger than you'd really want it to.
