Has to do with droplet size, which has to do with how deep you get the substance into the nasal passages and lungs. Misting is good for stopping bacteria and viruses before they take hold and begin to multiply, but it is pretty much confined to the doorway of the sinuses/throat. I have proven this to myself with my chronic URI rabbit. I have misted him a couple times a day or more, and he does get some breathed in, but it really doesn't do the job, nebulizing is much more effective at stopping any increase in his symptoms. With just misting he started to develop an ear infection, with nebulizing he doesn't get any ear involvement. Though I have to say I'm not certain nebulizing alone is even enough. I usually also use ear drops of the CS-MSM-DMSO mix I use.

I'm sorry, been away and am catching up on emails, and did try to read the ones with the same theme. Just don't understand: why wouldn't just using a spray bottle of CS into the nose and throat be almost as efficient as a personal nebulizer?
