Some list members have reported their observations of "chem trails" in
previous postings. I wish to add that these things are now evident in
Japan. I saw one today (10/18) shortly after noon; the first one I
saw about a month ago.
The first was most striking because there was not a cloud in the sky.
The trail directly paralleled and was directly above Route 202 bypass,
a major four-lane road. Obviously, no one is trying to hide the
trails; this was a remarkably vivid, long, stable, columnar trail, the
same color and appearance as an ordinary cumulo-nimbus cloud, but
unmistakably man-made.
The trail today was shorter than the previous trail, and mixed in with
a few scattered clouds, enabling me to verify my initial hunch that it
is actually lower than normal clouds.
In this case, the trail was in motion and was slowly dissipating; it
seemed to be moving in a direction opposite to that of the clouds,
which was strikingly odd. I do not think this was an optical illusion
caused by the movement of the clouds.
I have no idea what these things are, only that they are man-made.
In both cases, I did not see the air vehicle that formed the trails. I
assume it was a small jet of type I have seen once in recent weeks.
I am not aware of whether or not there has been any mention in the
newspapers of ongoing experiments.
Bottom line: I have never in my life seen similar formations except in
the very high-altitude vapor trails of military jets. These trails
are lower than ordinary clouds and are thus clearly not vapor trails.
Commercial jets do not leave trails when entering the city's air space.
