Regarding raw foods, I would urge caution. In Japan, a number of
people have died from HIV-E after eating raw boar. There have been a
number of such cases.
I believe also that unpasteurized milk used to be a source of
tuberculosis. Even sushi, so common to all of us, requires very
careful preparation. Most folks don't know that in most cases the
"fresh" fish is actually frozen for 48 hours or so to ensure that
parasites are dead before the fish is served.
A few places serve up sushi from fish killed before ones' very eyes,
served twitching -- how appetizing -- but I don't know how these places
deal with the parasite issue. Maybe they trust the wasabi (hot green
radish paste) will do the job.
My hunch is that if a person did some serious digging into the raw
foods movement, he/she'd find a lot of ugly stories that aren't
reported.
I reluctantly suspect some of my messages on this topic have been
filtered out of one foods-related list I'm on. . . .

Hi Cindy,
The reason they are mostly helathy is because they
ate much of their stuff raw. when you eat meat raw
and or dairy raw it is not acidic to the body.
I eat stuff like that myself, lotsa fat and cream
and butter and meat. I cook the meat unless I can
find good organic grass fed meat , then i eat it raw
too. Not always easy to find. they do have raw
organic dairy here in Calif. The cream can esaily be
addicting when its raw, it tastes so good.

I've recently taken a Traditional Diet Seminar
sponsored by the Weston
A. Price Foundation. The primitive people Dr.
Price visited ate lots of
animal fats, which would be highly acidic, how
come they were healthy? One group only ate fish and
cream.
Cindy
Citrious fruit while it is acid is NOT acidic
after it inters the body.
Go to www.thewolfeclinic.com/acidalkfoods.html and
print out the list of
acid and alkaline foods. It will amaze you as to
what is acidic to the body.
