My oldest two sons (now ages 10 and 7) were fully immunized. Even though I had decided not to immunize my first child, the pressure from the pediatricians is unbelievable and you REALLY have to understand why you are not vaccinating or they will talk you out of your plan.
The 10 year old (Austin) had a chronic ear infection that lasted from the age of 4 months until the age of 9 months. He has Reactive Airway Disease (illness induced asthma) that causes very severe asthma attacks (luckily only when he is sick with an upper respiratory illness which thankfully does not occur very often). He also has mild ADD. My poor 7 year old (Dean) has learning disabilities, severe ADHD, and his chronic ear infection lasted from four months until he was 6 years old!!! He was on more antibiotics during those 6 years than anyone should have to be in an entire lifetime (I had not discovered CS yet). Anyway, I promise this relates to the article posted below... When my 3rd son was born and after seeing what had happened to Dean, I fnally had the strength to say no to vaccines. My pediatrician fired me and there was only one other in the entire COUNTY that would see us and he was not a good communicator so I really didn't like being forced to work with him. The vaccine racket has caused me to be very disillusioned with our entire medical system but lately I see that the problems extend to our government as well.
