I appreciate your post Reid. Thank you for sending your story. Barbara
Friends, I feel the need to personally attest to what it is that Ivory soap has done for my mouth. Four years ago, then fifty one, I started getting pockets between my gums and teeth. At the dentist's they were always measuring the depth of the pockets, 6 mm, 8mm, 12 mm, etc. At the time I was tuned in to silver-list and the dialogue on this caused me to begin brushing with soap. Ivory was the clear choice because this is pure ingredients, nothing to irritate the mouth (such as essences or the pesticides used in 'anti bacterial soap). All those pockets between gums and teeth disappeared and the folks at the dentists witnessed what it is that will kill bacteria in the mouth. Funnily they wouldn't talk about this, just telling me I didn't need to come in quite so often. Also there was never again much plaque to speak of, so my teeth don't really need cleaning by the dentist. Neither do I need flossing but rather an occasional tooth pick. Bring on the Ivory soap and I love the basic taste. Could it be that it was a dentist in need of paying customers who spread the detestation of 'washing the mouth out with soap?' Is our option the barbaric slicing away of the gums? Reid
