The LM337 IC is designed to be a constant current regulator.  The advantage
of using it vs a LM7805 is that one can run at much lower currents with the
LM337.  In my generator, I use an LM337 with a 330 ohm resistor, and that
regulates the current to be 200 microamps (0.2 mA).  Running this for 24
hours makes very high quality CS with tiny sized particles (barely
perceptable Tyndall effect) along with the ions.
