The problem to me with filtering is in addition to losing some silver,
you are also adding a bunch of godknows what.
Of course, I still use a filter for coffee :-) . But I prefer not to
filter my EIS. When I pour it out of the brew jar, I sometimes leave the
larger bits of silver behind in the jar, but mainly I simply don't
worry about them, they are only pure silver after all. I am not really
understanding why people think these bits which are what has fallen off
the electrodes during silver making are a problem. If my EIS has a mix
of ions and tiny particles, I don't worry about a few larger particles
being in there. And after taking the time and trouble to put silver into
the DW, why filter any of it out again and waste it?

the coffee filter. Actually, I'm basing my "guesstimate" of ppm on use
of the conductivity meter , which reads approx. 66.
