Hi Dave. What amazes me is that they can still make those crates cheaper than sending them back. No wonder we have a trade deficit. You might want to look at the way they build houses in Brasil. They use brick, rebar and concrete. Now if you were to make you own bricks and mix your own concrete you would have a house, not in a earthquake area though. They even brick the inside walls. The inside walls are non supporting (similar to a office building with a false ceiling). After the brick they will put a concrete type of stucco on or tile it. Very easy to work with.

Are you in the US?My husband and I are thinking of moving at the first of the year andrather than buying an existing house we are throwing around the idea ofbuilding one out of used/retired Chinese shipping crates. We need a pool because of his paralysis and I want to use ozone waterrather than chlorine. The people on this list are Oh! so wise! any ideas and words of wisdomfor solar panels vs. wind generators, water purifiers, well water andcisterns etc?We also toyed with the idea of buying a retired ATT underground facilityor NIKE site but they are hard to find and are often prone to floodingand government use restrictions. We may end up inheriting one. In thiscase we will build a shipping crate house on top. Any input on housebuildin is appreciated.Harper-- No virus found in this outgoing message.Checked by AVG Free Edition.Version: 7.1.362 / Virus Database: 267.13.0/167 - Release Date: 11/11/2005--The Silver List is a moderated forum for discussing Colloidal Silver.Instructions for unsubscribing are posted at: http://silverlist.orgTo post, address your message to: [email protected] List archive: http://escribe.com/health/thesilverlist/index.htmlAddress Off-Topic messages to: [email protected] Archive: http://escribe.com/health/silverofftopiclist/index.htmlList maintainer: Mike Devour <[email protected]> _______________________________________________ No banners.
