Hi Harper, I've enjoyed your wisdom so much! Dumb question: are you a woman or a man? No offense meant - you mention wearing your Campfire girl uniform (I was also a Campfire girl). Then you mentioned wanting to become a man by killing a lion. I have utmost respect for anthropologists and wish I'd taken that route in my life. Maybe it's not too late? Anxious to hear your reply, Love, Mary ----- Original Message ----- From: [email protected] To: [email protected] Sent: Sunday, November 13, 2005 3:32 PM Subject: Re: CS>CS V diets
thanks for the links to the diets. These are aspects I never knew before. Funny you should send one that mentions the Masai. As a little girl LOOONG ago I unwillingly spent a summer in Nigeria. Nigeria was plunged into civil war. I lived every moment in my Campfire uniform because I had missed summer camp over this war. When my father's work was done he took us all on camera safari to east Africa. I proudly wore my Campfire girl uniform as we visited each tribe saluting them with a WOHELO! And then we entered a Masai village on our way to visit an old drinking buddy of my dad's. I saw a man in a lion's mane head dress with his wives and wives' herd of cows. My father's friend explained that he was a MAN because he had killed a lion, I decided from that moment that when I grew up I would kill a lion and become a man. Well I never did but I did become an anthropologist. This is fascinating. Thanks again. Harper
