The FDA neither says that silver doesn't kill germs nor cure diseases. It says that silver isn't recognized as safe and effective for these purposes...NOT that they are known to be unsafe or ineffective.
'Has not been approved' is not the same thing as 'has been dis-approved'. The tricky part is... if a disease is treated or cured, it's a drug that does it by definition and drugs cannot be sold as drugs unless they have been approved. But that doesn't mean that unexamined substances won't work and can't be made or sold...you just can't legally advertise what they do if you distribute or administer them in any way. A good disclaimer goes a long way and is the same game. I said 'this' but it's not recognized to be the truth...which doesn't mean it either is or isn't. [Dis claimer negates both dis and dat claimer.] If you don't dis-tribute or ad-minister un-approved substances, you can say anything. Now, if you forget to pay the tribute, you might be in trouble with the kings men who don't like being dissed...but advertising ministers can any thing they want no matter how re-diculous. [Only Preists are supposed to be diculous, but aren't, as yesterdays news has told.. but isn't yesterdays news the olds?] Insight can be a riot in sight. How legalease managed to combine legal with ease and wind up with a word that means something is beyond my ken, but Kenneth Starr can figure that out in... a twinkle, no doubt. [This is starting to sound like a Doctor Sues Ryme! Yea? Sue who? Sez you! For what? For what you got! ] An owl has freedom of screech...unless it's a bard owl who has not. [He can say "Who??", but not "what??"] A laywer must be barred to speak in court. When I leave the pub I have been dis-barred...too drunken to speakeasy. Don't misunderestimate the powers of discommunication...or dat one. In a sense, it all makes PERFECT nonsense. "These poor blind kids can't see nuthin." ..well, cut on the lights! Know what I'm sayin? [Nevermind, speaking "English" won't help] No matter what, I'll SWEAR you said what I heard. ..a disparaging word. It's a pneumonics plague filling the air! called Bubonics and it's communicable? LOL Well..there is an anecdote. Shhhhh [Don't mention that to the FDA. They'll look the other way. ] Ode At 11:52 AM 11/14/2005 -0500, you wrote: > >Surgeons use a silver compound for wahing hands? It must be FDA >approved.
