No generator will reliably or consistantly make 1PPM per minute unless 'Everything' is controlled and precise.
Most all people who say such things control nothing.
First off, how much water are you making it in?
What part of the current ramp-up did you start on?
Will current level off or keep accelerating?
Very small variations at the start make huge differences in the end results.
I order to use a timer to predict anything at all:
1] Electrode spacing and positioning must be repeatable.
2] Initial water temperature and conductivity must be exactly the same between batches.
This generator is no more than 3 nine volt batteries and some wire in a box.
You can get one at a fair price that may have a little bit more in it at Sunstone Herbals [$40?]
You 'can' make decent CS with devices like that if you have the time to watch it. It just isn't a no brainer and many things can be added to improve performance, but won't make it automatic.
Using a stir system and a PWT or COM-100 meter will help a lot.
Adding a reostat and digital multimeter allows you to tell something about what's going on, how fast and do something about it.
