My information about attaching the south pole to your body is that is may
cause inflammation or tumors to grow. There is also some discussion regarding
the definitions of what is considered south pole and north pole. It depends upon
varieties of perception, and who you talk to, and companies that manufacture
different products, and sometimes comes down to semantics. To be sure it is best
to check it out with a compass.
Is the pole that attracts the North end of the compass needle the North or the South pole of the magnet?
Once that's settled and defined...[as if everyone ever will agree]
Is South positive, or is North?
If being wrong can be harmfull, we'd just better hope that magnets don't work at all...
or, that it doesn't make any difference, it's the 'power of suggestion' and a 'calling to attention' that's actually doing the 'work' and the semantics are moot non-points of the compass.
