The following refers to the homemade 10 to 20 ppm CS or bought CS that is made in the same way as the homemade CS.
The best way I have found to treat a cold is to prevent it using the following method. Get a saline nasal mister from a drug store, work the mister top off and dump out the saline solution. Rinse it a couple of times with CS, emptying it in between times. Then fill it half-way with good CS, put the spray top back on and use it as a nasal mister. If you feel any indication at all of a cold coming on use the nasal mister a few times. You can also use it to spray your eyes or get a separate spray mist bottle to use for that. Do it right away and do it often. You will usually not come down with the cold. (Note: use it in both your eyes and nose, reread above... ;-) Taking CS orally is fine too, just take it as often as possible in small doses, say one slug every half-hour or hour. A slug is anywhere from one-half to one full ounce. If your slug is bigger than one ounce, you have a big mouth ;-)) Taking CS after the cold has developed is less effective but it should usually reduce complications and the amount of time you have the cold. Sometimes you will need to do other things like gargle with it for sore throats, and possibly add H2O2 or DMSO to make it penetrate. For food poisoning, nothing is better than a nice big glass of CS, especially if you've just thrown up... Taking CS more often is usually better (except for the food poisoning example). As someone just said, our problem is getting the CS to the "bug" in question. So, you want to have several tools in your bag of tricks. I purchased a bottle of CS Colloidal/SilverWings 500 ppm. Instructions of ½ teaspoon daily. I took this amount in bottle water and noticed NO significant help with my cold symptoms.
