Hi folks! Just want to remind you that there is an 18 kilobyte message size limit for postings to the list.
This means that you'll not be able to send much more than plain text. Colorful background graphics, pictures (unless very small), or large quantities of quoted text will generally put you over the limit. If you tell your mail program to send only Plain Text, you'll find that 18k is actually quite a few pages of information. Raine just tried to send pictures of some cansema treated wounds. Each of 3 jpeg pictures was about 30k in size. Jonathan send a message with a lot of interesting stuff about chocolate, but his mail program included two complete copies of the message, one as plain text and the other as "formatted text." It more than doubled the size of the message that would otherwise have been about 11k. Unfortunately, being over the size limit is *not* one of the things that triggers an automated caution message from the server, so you won't know if or why your message didn't go through unless I mention it to you or you figure out for yourself that it was too big.
