Nope, my CS stays water clear, and there is no visible drop out or plate
out from the CS to the bottom or sides of the storage bottle. The
finished CS stays clear even if stored for months.
Either the jug you are using had some contamination in it, or the CS was
unstable to begin with (most likely).
You may need to get a water tester such as a Hanna PWT to test your
distilled water. Some of us on this list have found we need to use DW of
very low conductance to get clear stable CS. Mine has to be .4 uS or
below, which is in contrast to many people who find they can use DW of
up to 3.0 uS and still get good CS. I distill my own water, and
sometimes have to run it through the distiller twice to purify it enough.
This is not a problem intrinsic to the CS or my generators or the
process it is solely a problem with the water here.
