I've had miraculous results with CS to treat colds and prevent the
sinusitis complications I always experienced.  But building the immune
system so that we don't get sick in the first place requires addressing all
the input from all the sources of health.  Raw (and some cooked or
otherwise processed) food from plants bearing seeds is designed to build
health.  Each type of plant foliage, fruit, roots, bark, and seeds, and its
inherent pigments with their anti-oxidant properties has a particular
action on a particular organ system or systems.  Part of our problem is
that we don't include a lot of herbs as food so we don't benefit from their
medicinal properties, and the reduced number of plants we eat are grown on
mineral deficient soil.  That is where taking trace minerals and mega
minerals as supplements comes in.  I am now 60 and am healthier than when I
was 40 in respect to catching colds and flu. I've been taking colloidal
minerals for 11 years.  I look 10-15 years younger than I am, and have only
a few grey hairs at my temples.  I dance vigorously daily for exercise.  I
also grow most of our vegetables and fruits in the summer, organically, and
raise ducks for eggs.

Back before colloidal minerals my husband would annually get severe flu
that would keep him in bed for a week.  Twice he got so dehydrated from
repeat vomiting that he had convulsions.  He would come out of it because I
would be shaking him and screaming.:-O  Back then we only knew about taking
vitamins and they worked but in a limited way.  We also lived in a city and
drank/bathed in water with chlorine added.  I've read a website claiming
Chloride displaces Iodine in the body and wrecks havoc on the immune system
as the thyroid gland is the first line of defense against infection in the
body and without Iodine it cannot produce enough hormones.  Since moving to
a more rural area and having well water 12 years ago, my husband has rarely
(3-4 times) had flu and only mildly, and rarely had colds.   I've typically
had colds only once a year or less and with CS can get over them in a day
or two, with no sinus infection.  When taking CS daily, my daughter or
husband got flu a couple of times and I didn't (they weren't taking CS).
My daughter went from being absent from high school 15 times in a school
year to 0 after starting taking colloidal minerals daily.

Another way to build the immune system is with medicinal mushrooms.  I buy
Shitake mushrooms fresh and add them to soups and stir-fries.  My husband's
aunt has survived lung cancer (given a prognosis of several months) using
Essiac tea, and several years later abdominal cancer, after surgery and
chemo, adding MGN-3, a concentrated medicinal mushroom extract.  It has
been several years since the abdominal cancer and she is still alive at 86.
I believe in doing anti-cancer programs prophylactically instead of sitting
around wondering if it will strike.
