Hi Terry, Well the 9 volt works good because the circuit that you make is with the entire arm. so there is plonty of resistanc drop there. the electricity goes from batterly to wart and then up the entire arm and the rest of the body that has the wart on it. So if you had a wart on the left arm and applied the battery with the right arm the electicity wolud go through bath arms. you want feel a thing and there is no burn. you only need to apply it for a few minutes. I use 2 9 volt batterise to do it myself
