I find the amount of silver to be taken before even the nail beds turn blue extremely high. The lady who first told me about CS is recommending drops of it, rather than gallons or even pints. I find her recommendation extremely low, but she claims that it works?!?! My own consumption is between 1/3 and 2/3 of a liter a day of an approximately 10 ppm homemade CS (one gallon has about 4 liters). That dose keeps me infection free even in circumstances which used to give me a fresh cold every 14 days - cold winter, hot dry air, and kids coming home with germs from school all the time. I am taking this for about 3 years now and my nail beds are still pink. I am very grateful for all the information though. Especially the information that it shows in the nail beds first is really useful, because it would allow me to react before I get negative reactions from people.
