Doing a 'salt test' on a CS sample should result in some cloudiness or bluish coloration (silver chloride) if there is any ionic silver component to it. It may be quite subtle. Check tyndall before adding salt for colloidal particles. If there is no color change with salt, perhaps try a new sample and add some hydrogen peroxide and check for tyndall/cloudiness changes and do the salt test again. This won't quantify what you have but it may be able to indicate if there is any silver in it. Also, get a super taster to swish it around in the mouth for a while. They should be able to discern the metallic taste.
Don't know what the above would show with silver protein or citrate, etc. Dan >>> "Heidi & Lee Sulkosky" <[email protected]> 2/25/2006 9:32:22 PM >>> Okay, I've purchased CS from Bio Alternatives which is not in the comparison list. I did the salt test with no cloudiness. It is crystal clear. After reading that article I am confused. Should it be clear or not! I have read things in the past about some saying it should be yellow. Anybody know anything about Bio Alternatives? They are very reasonable in price and I actually spoke with someone there who assured me no salts or proteins were used. I'd like to hear from some more lymies my self. Every bit of hope helps. 11 years of antibiotics has taken its toll. But the alternative to what my life is like without them is no contest.
