Pigs are more intelligent than dogs, cats, and horses.

Jews aren't supposed to even touch the carcass of a pig, yet Jesus was
able to attach demons to whole herd of them.
????
Why did Jews have that many, so useless, such vile pigs around?
  I don't get it.
Possibly for the "sacrifice"? [OK, the "Gods" liked pig meat so much they
had people raise and braise them..and forbade people to eat their favorite
food.]

Pigs are, physiologically, a lot like people.
I suppose that people are easy for people to digest as well. [never tried
one]

BTW, pigs actually prefer to be clean.
Like people, they have little hair. [no fur]
Like people, they will smear themselves with mud to protect themselves from
the sun and biting insects.
..sorta makes you wonder if they... and we.... actually "evolved" here.
