I suspect that the use of the word; "Refined", in the booklet, may be put down to translation to english from the language it was originally written in. Refined may be, I think, interpreted as good quality or best quality. There's no possible reason, IMHO, that refined, in a western sense, would have any advantages attached to it at all, what with; solvent residues and the attendant low quality associated with a "refining" procedure involving the use of high heat that destroys a lot of what's good in an oil, merely to give it a longer shelf life and make it; "Better looking", on that shelf. All the best. Lou In a message dated 12/04/2006 16:51:32 GMT Standard Time, [email protected] writes:
Thanks to everyone for the response on pregnancy. I subsequently read the booklet. My daughter in law and I are interested in trying the OP technique. I went to my local Health Food Store to buy the Sunflower oil. They didn't have refined oil the booklet calls for-- they only had 100% expeller pressed. 1. Is this good enough?? 2. What is the difference between refined and expeller pressed?? 3. I looked on the net for Refined--they say all kinds of stuff is in some of the Refined oils?? 4. What's the best brands and where do I buy it?????
