Good Echinacea tincture will numb the throat and bring healing to a sore
throat. I usually take some CS then tilt my head back and squirt some
Echinacea on my throat. The next day I won't have a sore throat. I also
used it once when I had an inflamed salivary gland under my tongue, swollen
and red. I mixed it with Goldenseal and held it under my tongue once every
couple of hours, and it not only numbed it but the infection was resolved
within a day.

I like Fishermen's Friend original cough drops or sugarfree menthol cough
drops. Herbs like Slippery Elm, Black Cherry, Licorice, Marshmallow, are
good for coughs.

Does anyone remember what brand of cough drops makes those flat, gray
ones that came in a tin? I think it was Sucrets, but not sure. I took them
in the 70-80s and they did a number on one's throat(numbing) I've been
trying to find them as my wife has had this persistent, nagging and
hacking cough since Christmas. I've tried my 12PPM eis but it didn't
remedy the situation. Thanks, PanAm
