I had a niacin flush one time that almost killed me. I'd overnighted at a
girlfriend's house, and helped myself to her vitamins before leaving for the
office. I guess I took 3-4 niacin tabs, which must have been at least 500
mcg each, and was on the freeway when the niacin flush hit.
The rush was so intense I was seeing red. I thought I was having a heart
attack at the very least, because my scalp felt like it was on fire, my face
turned a brilliant red, my pores were steaming, and body body skin felt like
it was in flames. After swerving wildly down my lane, I drove home -- not
to the office -- to die gracefully.
But I got home and it wore off 45 minutes later and I felt a little foolish
after I learned what a good dose of niacin can do to you.
I took niacinamide after that.

after taking he said his sinuses felt like they were burning and then he
developed a head ache. Is this what you felt? His Dr. said to use
regular niacin to bring down cholesterol
