Terry,
Who are you quoting here? and is there more of this article?
Thanks,

Such a statement is irresponsible at best and
deliberately deceptive at worst.
Please notice:
"An extensive review of the scientific literature on
the subject of the efficacy of Colloidal Silver has
established some succinct facts:
"In a study sponsored by the Department of Heath and
Human Services (U.S.), Rocky Mountain Laboratories &
Fox Chase Cancer Center, respectively, in 1995,
colloidal silver in a concentration of 15 PPM
demonstrated that no live spirochetes of borrellia
burgdorferi (B310 or b hermsti (HS-1) (Lyme disease)
survived after 24 hours of exposure, in the Rocky
Mountain Labs study.
"Furthermore, "Preliminary studies on colloidal silver
show it to be effective in inhibiting and killing
strains of Candida albicans and Cryptococcus
neoformans in-vitro. Four strains of C. Neoformans
were tested and they were killed by the preparation.
The growth of these strains were inhibited at a
concentration as low as 0.3 PPM." (That's 1/3 of 1
ppm, folks.)
"Colloidal Silver has been tested by Brigham Young
University's microbiology laboratory (1999). In
conclusion of the first round of testing, Ron W.
Leavitt Ph.D & David A. Revelli (microbiologist)
stated, "[Colloidal Silver].. is a broad spectrum
antimicrobial agent -- it is able to effectively stop
the growth of (and in fact kill) a large variety of
organisms". (They tested sixteen varieties, including
every kind of E. Coli.) The report also states, "To
date there are no bacteria tested that this product
has not killed". It was found that 2 ½ ppm immobilized
the bacterium, and 5 ppm killed it.
"At the University of California at Davis, Colloidal
Silver was able to inhibit the ability of yeasts to
grow. Said Jason Henrie, microbiologist, "It is
evident that a single 10 ppm application could prevent
the further growth of a small population of yeast for
24 hours, allowing one's immune system time to
respond. Even more, multiple 10 ppm applications
could conceivably prevent the growth of yeast
indefinitely."
"When the UCLA School of Medicine tested a range of
viruses (including HIV) in 1989, it has been reported
that they found colloidal silver at a concentration of
5 ppm killed every virus it came into contact with
within six minutes."

Also:
"NVID International Inc. (Pink Sheets: NVID) announced
Monday the final results of a research project focused
on the effectiveness of Axenohl in a municipal
drinking water system in Costa Rica, featuring NVID's
ionic silver-based microbial technology. Prior to
testing, the Grecia water supply was contaminated with
coliform bacteria and was not potable. After treatment
with 78 parts-per-billion (PPB) of Axenohl
concentrate, the fecal coliforms went from greater
than 200 CFU/100ml to zero in a period of 10 days. No
other disinfectants or chemicals (including chlorine)
were used in conjunction with Axenohl during the
testing period. All water samples taken downstream had
less than 50 PPB Axenohl, which falls within the
current EPA and European water treatment guidelines
for the presence of silver. Additionally, Axenohl
proved to control and reduce the presence and growth
of biofilm in the piping distribution network."
