I think from what I have read, flaxseed oil isnt as easy for the body to convert to what it needs where as fish is. Also, flax seed oil can inhibit thyroid function. I think dosage is important and a small amount wouldnt harm. Have you tried freezing the seeds to keep them fresh and then grinding them up to use.
