If it's the electrolyte content that makes gatorade desirable, Alacer Corp. (the makers of Emergen-C), now have a product called ElectroMIX, in powder form:

Thanks for mentioning these fine products.

The Electro Mix is a simple product with much less of each item than Emergen'C. This must be to allow one to drink more volume, maybe even gallons per day. My grandson, when making a 100 mile march in 4 days with a 65 pound pack, drinks over 3 gallons of water per day.

Electromix lists only 5 items whereas Emergen'C lists 18 items. Interesting indeed.

Now they make a Heart blend, Immune product, and Bone and Joint blends.

My son-in-law stopped an "Emergency Room" level headache with a single pack of Emergen'C per day. A week or two ago he went of a 5 day cruise and forgot his Emergen'C. Was he surprised when he found they put these in the room every day on the cruise ship.

In addition they make a SuperGram III and SuperGram II, both a timed release C.

The Archives show many messages about Gatorade and Electrolytes. Considering the simplicity of these items, seems we could mix our own with ingredients purchased by the pound or Kilo, and produce an even better Electrolyte for CS use and possibly for Extreme Weather conditions as well.

Many huge chemical companies sell these ingredients by the 1/4 pound, 1/2 pound, full pound, and Kilo. ( about 2.2 pounds )

One such company is........ http://www.labdepotinc.com/

Just click on the letter of your choice to see an amazing list of ingredients.
I have had an account with them for several years.

We have many products and options available to us.
