I,too have been on Protonix, Nexium Cymbalta, etc. etc. etc..... I refuse
to take any more of them. Am trying to use alternative therapies for my
problems. Unfortunately, due to the structure of my bowel, I am not
having
much success in getting rid of my upper right burning pain, or my lower
right tightness and burning pain. Think the second may be due to
adhesions.
Trouble is , I am elderly , and it takes a lot of time to soften up
adhesions. At least that is what my chiropractor tells me. My MD is
recommending a resection of my bowel. I am going in to talk with a
surgeon
about this next Friday with my daughter along. My question is, how would
he
know what part to take out, can't tell ahead of time, it seems. And more
adhesions will surely form, same story , second verse, and how do we know
that the rest of my bowel will behave any better than the original after
the
surgery. I'm will ing to explore this to find out what all would be
involved for living arrangements, etc. in case the whole thing just shuts
down sometime. Things seem to be worsening. I can't use the bentonite
clay
and psyllium the chiropractor recommends because it just clogs me up worse
and quicker and I have to take more enemas. Ruth
