I certainly understand your concern about the
antibiotic treatment for TB.  30 years ago when I
worked in the hospital, I had a positive test
(negative chest x-ray).  They said I had to take
Isoniazid for a year.  After 6 weeks, I felt queasy,
had fever, felt flu like and was getting yellowish. 
The doctor said the pills had caused hepatitis and to
quit for a couple weeks, then start back.  I had no
more problems with them once I started back on them,
but this shows they can be rough on the body since I
was a healthy 20 something.  When using Isoniazid, one
should supplement with vitamin B6.
