Some additional thoughts arise in my mind.
When normal "food quality" plastic containers are new, they have a typical
"plastic solvent" odor AND flavour, which is more or less toxic depending on
the type of plastic used, and contents do not adhere to them easily. As they
are "recycled" they gradually lose the "plastic odor", tend to get more
brittle and contents gradually adhere more to them.
The in vitro tests that you refer to only take into consideration a high
quality plastic (Falcon 5 ml polypropylene plastic test tubes) and it only
refers to the adsorption of silver to glass, without taking into
consideration different toxic substances from different types of plastic
containers.
I have my doubts that soda pop plastic bottles could be the type of "high
quality plastic container"
that is recommended for CS storing by the performers of the test.
The glass of which containers are made can be of many different qualities. A
cheap drinking glass gets residues adhered to it easily, but a good quality
cristal cup does not. (Have you noticed the difference when they are washed
and drained?)
So, I wonder what is the experience (and opinion), concerning containers, of
other list members that have been making, using and storing CS for years?
In what type of containers do commercial makers of CS sell it?

It's actually better to store CS in soda pop bottles
(or that type of plasic). If CS is stored in glass,
the silver tends to adhere to the glass sides,
detracting from the silver in the liquid.
