Their trick is that they carry water into the hive and
by evaporating that, they cool it down to the temperature
necessary to maintain the temperature needed by the larvae. 

In places where it gets too hot constantly and they cannot bring 
the temperature down, bees couldn't survive because their 
brood would die - in other words, cook in the honeycomb.

BTW there are kitchen recipes using bee larvae instead of meat!
Where a beekeeper cuts away excess drone brood, he can use
that for food!
