I wanted to comment further on the operation and use
of the home-made colonic device concerning which I
posted the assembly instructions recently.

Several people have wondered about certain details.
One person wondered about gravity impeding it. Another
person was concerned about there being too much
pressure since the water comes from the faucet.

What is connected to the faucet is a ¾” tube about
3” long. One end of a ½” tube is inserted into
it, held in place by a safety pin that has been pushed
through them both, from one side through and out the
other. Since there is space between the two tubes, the
water flows around the ½” tube, out the end of the
¾” tube and into the sink. At the other end of the
½” tube (hose) is the douche tip. Somewhere about 2
– 2-1/2’ from that end is the clamp on the hose,
which can be loosened or tightened in degrees,
allowing a full flow or just a trickle, so as the
prevent the water from flowing into your colon at a
stronger pressure than is comfortable or safe. Since
you can gradually open the flow to whatever pressure
you need, gravity has no affect.

One person commented that they felt it was the water
flowing in through one tube and out another that was
of benefit for a good colonic. But the benefit comes
from the water flowing further and further up into the
colon with each filling that gradually cleanses more
and more out of the colon. After I had used this
device a few times and became familiar with it, I
would allow water to flow in until just before I felt
full and then close the clamp and sit there for a half
minute or so, allowing the water to soften things a
bit before expelling the water.

The fact that I didn’t need to lay down, or have
enough space to lay down, made it a simpler device to
use. And I will tell you, it was very effective at
cleansing me of a lot of stuff.

I’ve purchased all the components and only need to
assemble it so I can take photos to send to folks who
would like to see what an assembled unit looks like. I
spent $13 for a Water Bottle and Syringe kit (with
douche tip), $5 for some faucet adapters so I could
hook it up to my faucet, and $4.60 for 8’ of ½”
clear plastic tubing. I cut the end off a ¾”
washing machine hose to insert the ½” tubing into.
Total cost, less than $25.

I once saw a device that I could attach to my garden
hose that could be filled with liquid fertilizer so
that, as I watered my lawn, I would also be spraying
fertilizer mixed with the water. I want to see if I
could use such an attachment to add CS (or herbs, or
DMSO or whatever) to the water that was cleansing my
colon. I’ll post what I discover.
