Hi everybody! I thought that our members who are saddled with Comcast.net service, which is still blocking mail from Eskimo's mailing list server, might want to know that Eskimo is having a sale right now.
If you've got net access via cable or DSL through another provider, then the minimum you need in order to use Eskimo's mail servers is a shell account, which Robert is offering at a discount until October 14th: 2 years for $144, which works out to $6 a month; 5 years for $300, or only $5 per month. They're also offering good prices for nation-wide dial-up accounts, as well as web and domain hosting. The performance is good and reliable and they are Linux friendly. (They work with MS users, too!) This, to be able to work with an ISP where a phone call or e-mail gets a real human being who knows what you're talking about and can actually fix things that are broken! Some of the equipment is right in the basement, and the staff has keys to the co-lo facility where the rest of it is! There're no support droids reading from a phone script or other bureaucratic run-around here! <grin> I've been happy as an Eskimo customer since about 1994. And, no, I'm not getting anything for recruiting! <smile> See: www.eskimo.com Be well, Mike D.
