Get a bigger hard drive, they're pretty cheap now.
Burn your archives to CD's or DVD's. They cost about 3 for a buck now.
That is slow and primitive. I have 5 or 6 computers networked and
hard drives on every table. Anything I want to keep is on several of these.
My final backup is a fantastic Toshiba Laptop. When I leave home,
everything I want to keep goes with me. Wind, Fire,
Tornados, unless they get me and my laptop, I will have it.
I have no problem. The issue is people that simply do not think or
do not care about the effect of bloated messages.
The messages you propose sound annoying and spamish, the first one
would plonk you into my killfile filter.
I assume you have a junior deputy listcop badge from Mike?
Everyone has one, ........ when what they do and say is RIGHT !
I think even you would be interested in knowing your "Bit Ratio".
If I send anyone anything that is FACTUAL why would they think it is spamish?
It ain't broke and don't need fixin'.
It is BROKE and needs fixing. Why do you think it is not?
Some message are a mile long and need not be.
I delete most of the one line messages. I prefer to delete none but
some are large and say nothing, or very little.
I have never used a Kill File Filter. I have a number of filters set
up for the common spam that I get. It works good enough for me.
What really saves time is many mailboxes and proper filters for the
good messages.
