The cure for scabies is 1% Lindane lotion, two applications. [now OTC] or Lindane can be bought at the farm supply and mixed with skin lotion. That 'should' also kill mites. Scabies make itchy mosquito bite like bumps that line up in rows looking something like junkie tracks.
