Misting my eyes while also inhaling the mist, and then washing well or
also misting my hands with EIS has done wonders for preventing colds/flu
for me. I am extremely susceptible to those viruses, and used to get
them several times a year, but unless I get really lazy about my
misting, I don't get them anymore.
A little prevention or "stopping the bugs at point of entry" i.e. eyes
and hands is a lot better than trying to stop a cold once it has taken
hold. Once I have gotten one they tend to hang on and on. But I have to
say, since using EIS, I have not gotten any secondary sinus infections
or bronchitis/pneumonia. For the baby with the cold, consider nebulizing
with EIS.

Is there any "perfect" amount of CS to give an 11month
old child who has a cold. I wanted to get my children
on CS as a preventative, but haven't been faithful in
doing so. I just made up a fresh batch of CS
yesterday and my 11 month old woke up this morning
with a cough/cold. Because of her age I wasn't sure
if there was a safe amount of CS to give and how
often. I hope to knock out this cold before it
spreads to my 4 year old (who is my sickly child
anyway....she's well at the moment and I want to keep
it that way).
