Respiratory infection, as in coughing badly?

They probably had roundworms. When I was a young girl,
I saw a kitten die a terrible death. It never was treated
against roundworm (they get them from their mother) -
my mother didn't have the information that they could be
so badly infected at such a young age.

The coughing comes because they try to cough worms or
larvae out of their lungs, where they end up after digging
through their whole little bodies.

Same for grown up cats and dogs too.
