Well, I'm not sure -- but it got pretty cold here last night -- high 20's, low 
30's.  Of course, it's never that cold in the barn because we have horses and 
they generate a lot of heat.  Also, I had taken precautions to protect the 
kittens with layers of insulation under the cage, layers around their cage to 
hold in warmth, and a box with a towel in it for them to go into for additional 
warmth.  And they were not exposed to a draft.  But that's my other worry -- 
that it was too cold for them -- in which case I let them die needlessly.  It 
could only have been the CS or the cold.  Only one of the kittens was sick -- 
the other was eating and drinking milk just fine, and was very active and 
noisy.  Even the sick one drank her milk and complained when I put her in the 
cage for the night.  I could understand if the sick one died, but I couldn't 
believe it when I found them both dead.  I've never lost a kitten to cold 
temperatures before.  I can't believe that I killed my two kittens.  MA
