If using high voltage,ie 120 VAC,an isolation transformer would be what I
would use,that eliminates the hazard of shock.
Then rectify for DC thru a bridge rectifier.This should be available at
Radio Shack..The cost should be reasonable ,depending on the current needed
for the set-up.
