But there is more to it.
When I was still working at a health-insurance office, we were told of this
client in trouble:
She had severely cut her tongue when licking to moist the glue. The cut was
so severe that it went through one of the the tongue-arteries. She was in
real trouble.
As patients getting pills for under the tongue may know, there are two
arteries underneath the tongue, and they are very vulnerable. These pills
soaked take the medicine right into the bloodstream.

poison.
