My son and his wife asked me to make some weaker colloidal silver for them. They say that what I've given them lately causes mouth and throat irritaion, stinging, raw feeling. I make it from distilled water at the medium setting of the Colloid Master machine. It's clear with a slight yellow color and a sharp strong Tyndall. My son says he's sure it's acid and used a ph strip which did show it to be on the acid end. I can't remember anyone using any instruments to test for acid or base....can it really be a problem? I had a problem with some when I first got my machine and made it very strong...it irritated my mouth, throat, and stomach. I don't have any testing equipment other than the laser. So, what's up with my CS???
============================= Pat, An even better pH tester for water than strips is drops. You can get it in any pet store that sells fish. Drops are used to test aquarium water.
Distilled water should be a neutral 7.0 pH. However, as soon as DW is exposed to air, it absorbs carbon dioxide. Then carbonic acid forms in the water. Acidic water (as well as water that's too alkaline) can be irritating.
After I make my colloidal silver, I add a very small amount of Willard Water to it to raise it to a drinkable, healthier, alkaline pH. The best Willard Water is sold by Nutrition Coalition (Google it).
