I often wonder if I am the only one doing this with the phone line.

But what if suddenly someone calls? Would not that cause a raise in voltage so that my brew will be cooking hot? (lol).

If I get a phone call, and answer it, the CS batch stops because the 50 VDC disappears as long as the phone is off hook.

The higher ringing voltage causes an increase in CS current but not for long.

It is converted to DC because I use a full wave input for several reasons. Yes, you can feed DC into a Full Wave Rectifier with specific benefits.

First, the electrodes may or may not be polarity sensitive, but the
LED is definitely polarity sensitive.

Some houses have the Tip and Ring switched. The full wave bridge solves this problem. No mater what the polarity of the input,
The red lead is always positive and the black is always negative.

One could use this principle on any device that is polarity sensitive or could be damaged by the wrong polarity.

Applied reverse polarity is disastrous to some circuits and circuit boards.

When you make the change to your system or process, you have to learn a new set of timings depending on your water and the started CS you add.

This is true of all non-intelligent systems whereas your brain is the controller, ....... one of the best in my opinion.

I would suggest gallon jugs. You might use two, three or four.

Something else you might consider, one can series power supplies just like batteries for double or triple the voltage. I have used 75 VDC and others have used 100 VDC or more.

This will speed up the process.

If I were you, I would add a resistor and LED in each of the branch circuits to each container. This gives you a visual indication that the process is working Right or Wrong.

Also, it is an instant trouble shooter whereas you can spot a problem immediately without testing or meters.

As I have said before, I use this to reject water. After you determine the time and ppm you want, the LED will assist you in several aspects of the process.

If you have not already purchased the power source you mentions, you could buy a transformer and a few components and build the power supply of whatever voltage you choose.

This 100 volts is Either AC or Pulsating AC. The shock is attention getting. I was working on my phone lines one day and some fool called 100 times. That is how many times I felt the shock.

Ode mentioned the phone co might notice the abnormality some day. I have been used the Phone CS generator for several years with no problems
