Not a whole finger, but fingertips definitely. I am not sure what information there is, but I have written here before that I cut the end off of my thumb, almost to the bone, and kept it wet for days with CS. It grew back with no scarring, and in fact a scar that used to be on it is now gone. When it grew back I got the fingerprint and all. I wish I had a copy of my thumbprint before it was cut off so I could see if the print remained the same, or changed, but I don't have access to an earlier print.

Good information on the ability of silver ions to cause regeneration of tissue without scaring by redifferentiation of cells is well documented in Robert Beckers book "The Electric Body".
