I went to using a SS distiller and use tap water. This I draw off in pails
and let sit for approx. 24 hrs to let the heavy chlorine work out.When
distilled.the H2O is flat tasting and acidic.For potable use I add approx 40
to 45 drops of Concentrace minerals to each gallon,depending on whether it
is a US gal.[128 0z],an Imp.gal.[160 oz] or a 4 Liter [approx. 140 oz.].This
brings the Ph up to specs.
For CS/EIS,I double distill,adding nothing extra to the brew .
I will only use glass jugs and large mouth glass pickle jars,not plastic,for
CS/EIS making and storing.
My Dr. told me that all plastics leach out a chemical that mimics
Estrogen.He said this is one of the reasons men,as they get older, start to
become femininized,ie more weight,large breasts and loss of libido.He told
me this a very good reason why I,like many men, get gall-stones.This is what
was happening to me and he agreed to script me for Testosterone.I am well on
into 83 years and I can see the improvement by going this route.
I am now trying to substitute all my food storage containers from plastic
to either glass,Stainless or ceramic.It is not easy as it is very hard to
buy such items in glass now.Some years ago I had the fore-sight to squirrel
away all the glass 2 quart. and 4 quart jugs I could find [I was making
wine,and plastic is a no no for wine].Also large pickle jars which were
glass .
This the way I see it and I'm as happy as if I'm in my right mind.
