It is served regulary in this Irish/Slavic household...LOL I think the garlic and olive oil that I ingest is the reason I have a very high HDL?(I never remember which is which) but the so called good cholesterol. should clarify, It is served in "OUR" "Upperclass" Italian restaurants(Not in Italy). You can't get anything but pizza, lasagna, or spaghetti at our not so upperclass restaurant. The better restaurants consider focaccia and olive oil and red wine vinegar a delicacy in our area. I guess because we( us in the middle of nowhere) don't know any better. : ) But I never been more than 300 miles from my birth place so I wouldn't know what the real restaurants in Italy or Spain would serve. : ( Someday I hope to find out!
