I use a Hanna PWT meter from Silvergen. It has served me well for about
4 years now, and as long as it works, I see no need to get a different
one. So far I've never had to change the batteries, even.
But I think if I was buying a meter today, I'd give serious
consideration to this one:

Many people are happy with a TDS meter, but for me, those do not measure
below uS 1.0 so TDS would not work for me. My main use of the PWT is
checking distilled water to see if it is pure enough to give me clear CS.
