Betadine is iodine-povidone complex, povidone is PVP

If you have no problem with other forms of iodine, you may be reacting 
to the PVP (povidone). Though the article above states povidone is 
completely inert to humans, I have reacted to various things that 
contain it, so I avoid it completely, in fact I had previously thought 
povidone itself was a form of iodine, guess that isn't true, but I still 
react to it.

all the info.
Someone wrote earlier on the list about his wife being allergic to Benedryl  
and still she has to keep reminding everyone about this.
I have found the same to be true...so the more info we have...the better.  v.
