Savezni ministar za odbranu Velimir Radojevic izjavio je da od 7. novembra 2000. godine do danas nije izdata nijedna dozvola za izvoz naoruzanja u Irak ili neku drugu zemlju koja je pod embargom UN. "Nije bilo izvoza naoruzanja, ali je bilo krsenja sankcija u pogledu vojno-ekonomske i tehnicke saradnje", izjavio je Radojevic novinarima nakon sednice Odbora Veca gradjana Savezne skupstine za bezbednost na kojoj su razmatrani materijali o prodaji jugoslovenskog oruzja suprotno embargu UN. Radojevic je rekao da drzavni organi nisu bili umesani u ilegalne poslove prometa naoruzanja, kao i da je Savezna vlada odlucna da utvrdi da li je bilo ilegalnih poslova u toj oblasti. Prema njegovim recima, inspekcijski organi intenzivno rade na kontroli poslovanja ne samo "Jugoimporta" vec i drugih firmi koje se bave tim poslom, a postoji mogucnost da provera bude prosirena i na period pre 7. novembra 2000. godine.
Ministar Radojevic je izjavio da je Komisija Savezne vlade utvrdila da nije bilo nepravilnosti pri izdavanju dozvola za izvoz naoruzanja u zemlje pod embargom, ali je konstatovala da je bilo krsenja sankcija u delu vojno-ekonomske i tehnicke saradnje sa Irakom, odnosno protokola o saradnji koji datiraju jos od 1980. godine. Ministar za odbranu je rekao da ce Savezna vlada sve protokole i ugovore prekinuti, odnosno suspendovati ukoliko ima indicija da je neki posao zapocet. Dodao je da ce vlada i ubuduce odlucivati o svakoj dozvoli za izvoz oruzja i vojne opreme, bilo kojoj zemlji.

Zamenik nacelnika Generalstaba Vojske Jugoslavije za Kopnenu vojsku general-pukovnik Vladimir Lazarevic rekao je juce na proslavi Dana inzinjerije u garnizonu u Obrenovcu da su inzinjerci ispunili sve postavljene zadatke izuzetno uspesno, efikasno, pre svega profesionalno i krajnje patriotski. Naglasio je da je tesko pobrojati sve objekte na kojima su inzinjerci radili samo u ovoj godini i pomenuo da su se angazovali u Kopnenoj zoni bezbednosti, sprecavanju tezih posledica poplava na severu zemlje, pa do radova koje su izveli za Srpsku pravoslavnu crkvu i narod u celini. Vrednost tih radova iznosi na desetine miliona dinara, ali stvarna korist je mnogostruko veca i meri stotinama miliona dinara, dodao je Lazarevic.

U Klubu VJ u Novom Sadu juce je odrzano savetovanje opstinskih organizacija vojnih penzionera sa teritorije Vojvodine. Skupu su prisustvovali predstavnici Novosadskog korpusa VJ, Organizacije rezervnih vojnih staresina i SUBNOR, kao i predsednik Udruzenja vojnih penzionera Jugoslavije general-major u penziji Milenko Grgurevic.

Simfonijski orkestar Umetnickog ansambla VJ "Stanislav Binicki" odrzace veceras u Centralnom domu VJ u 20 casova koncert pod nazivom "Odabrali smo za vas". Na programu su dela Mendelsona, Strausa, Mocarta i Bramsa, kao solista nastupice sopran Jasmina Sajnovic, a orkestrom ce dirigovati Zoran Stanisavljevic.

Hor Umetnickog ansambla Vojske Jugoslavije "Stanislav Binicki" ucestvovace u subotu u Centru "Sava" u izvodjenju dela Bendzamina Britna "Ratni rekvijem". Na tom spektakularnom koncertu ucestvovace 250 muzicara - solisti Lada Birjukov, Dzefri Lojd Roberts i Alen Opi, kao i Simfonijski orkestar, hor i decji hor RTS, a dirigovace jedan od deset najvecih svetskih dirigenata britanac Stiven Barlou.

Na danasnji dan 1917. godine umro je srpski pisac Milutin Bojic, autor poeme "Plava grobnica" o masovnom sahranjivanju srpskih vojnika u more, trajnog poetskog spomenika tragedije Srpske vojske u Prvom svetskom ratu posle povlacenja preko Albanije.

Yugoslav Minister of Defence Velimir Radojevic stated that not a single arms export licence to Iraq or any other country under UN sanctions had been issued from November 7th 2000 until today. "There was no arms export, nor was there violation of the embargo regarding the military economic and technical cooperation", stated Radojevic to the press after the Meeting of the Federal Parliament for Defence Citizen Chamber Board, which discussed the materials on the sale of the Yugoslav arms in violation of the UN embargo. Radojevic said that the governmental agencies were not involved in the illegal affairs of the arms export, and also that the Federal government was resolved to determine whether there were illegal affairs in this field. According to Minister Radojevic, the inspection teams are working intensively on the control of business not only of "Jugoimport" but other firms who are in this kind of business, and that there is a possibility that the control could be expanded to the period before November 7th 2000.

Minister Radojevic stated that the Yugoslav government commission determined that there were no irregularities with issuing the arms export licence to the countries under UN embargo, and it concluded that there was the violation of the embargo in part of the military, economic and technical cooperation with Iraq, the protocol on the cooperation dating from 1980. Minister of Defence said that the Yugoslav government will terminate all the protocols and contracts, suspend them if there were indications that some business had been started. He added that the government would in future also decide on every arms and military equipment export licence, with any country.

Deputy Yugoslav Army Chief of Staff in charge of the Army, General Vladimir Lazarevic said yesterday at the anniversary of the Engineer Units marked in Obrenovac garrison, that the Engineer Units had fulfilled all the tasks successfully, efficiently and, above all, professionally and in an outstanding patriotic manner. General Lazarevic stressed that it was difficult to give a precise number of facilities the Engineer Units had been working on during the year 2002 alone, and added that they have been also engaged in the Ground Security Zone, flood control in the northern parts of the country and construction works for the Serbian Orthodox Church and the Yugoslav people on the whole. The value of the construction works is estimated to tens of millions of dinars and their real benefit is much greater, measured in hundreds of millions of dinars, Lazarevic said.

Vojvodina military pensioners municipal organizations held a conference yesterday in the YA Club in Novi Sad. The conference was also attended by the representatives of the Novi Sad Corps, Reserve Military Officers Organization and Federation of the National Liberation War Veterans Associations, as well as the President of the Yugoslav Association of Military Pensioners, retired Major General Milenko Grgurevic.

The YA Artistic Ensemble "Stanislav Binicki" Symphony Orchestra will hold a concert titled "We chose for you" today at 8.00 p.m. in the YA Central Club in Belgrade. In the repertoire will be the works of Mendelssohn, Strauss, Mozart and Brahms. The orchestra will be conducted by Zoran Stanisavljevic and accompanied by soprano Jasmina Sajnovic.

The Choir of the YA Artistic Ensemble "Stanislav Binicki" is going to take part in Benjamin Britten's "War Requiem" next Saturday in "Sava" Convention Hall. 250 musicians will take part in this spectacular concert - solo performers Lada Biryukov, Geoffrey Lloyd Roberts and Allen Oppy, as well as the Symphony Orchestra, the Choir and the Children's Choir of the Serbian Broadcasting Corporation (RTS), conducted by one of the greatest conductors in the world, Steven Barlow from Great Britain.

 

November 7th 1917, died Milutin Bojic, Serbian writer and author of the poem "Blue Grave" about the mass burial of the Serbian soldiers in the sea, a lasting poetic monument to the tragedy of the Serbian Army in the WW I, after the retreat across Albania.
